Minor Hurling
Lismore/Ballysaggart minor hurlers gained an emphatic win at the weekend by beating favourites De La Salle by the most slender of margins. Both teams served up a great display of hurling with the black and amber men coming out on top to gain a place in the county semi-final.  Well done to the players and mentors.  See the sports section of this newspaper for full report.  
Club Fundraiser - Table Quiz at The Classroom Bar
Lismore GAA club will be holding a club fundraising quiz on Friday 1st November at The Classroom Bar.  Teams of four at €40 per table.  A really enjoyable evening with the towns best and brightest battling it out for the grand prize!
Lismore GAA Development Confined Draw
This week will see the launch of our Confined Draw which will raise funds for our Development Plans. Tickets are €100 each (option to pay by 4 monthly instalments of €25) and will be limited to 500 tickets with a first prize of €10,000. The draw will take place on the 21st December. Tickets can be purchased from the officers and fundraising committee (Colin Kearney 0871436184 and Maria Prendergast 0863388503). A wonderful prize for a lucky winner just before Christmas!

Lismore GAA Christmas Fair
Names are now being taken for our annual Christmas Fair at the community centre on Sunday 1st December.  Any craftspeople or businesses wishing to book a table to display their wares are asked to contact the club secretary Marie Prendergast on 086 3388503
Sympathies
Lismore GAA Club would like to extend its' deepest sympathies to the Bennett family on the recent death of Patricia Galvin (née Bennett), Ballyrandle, Ballinroad, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Sadly missed by her husband Perry, daughter Ciara and son Pierce, sisters Gabrielle O'Donovan, Siobhan Leahy, Bernadette Leahy, Breda Beer and Noreen Shanahan, brothers Joe, Gerard and Carthage, sisters-in-law Maura, Linda and Marie, brothers-in-law Michael O'Donovan, William Leahy, J.D. Leahy and John Shanahan.
 
Also, sympathies are extended to the Coleman family on the recent death of Theresa Coleman, Parks Road, Lismore, Co. Waterford. Deeply regretted by her sons Martin and Robert, brothers Harry, Richard, Thomas, Gerard, Joseph, Colin and Leonard, sisters Ann Casey, Margaret Drislane, Bernie Shanahan, Marie, Deirdre and Shirley Coleman.

Déise Super Draw Tickets are available from the club secretary or any committee member priced at €15 per month.
1st prize €12,500 with up to 20 prizes each month.  70% of ticket sales stay within your club.  Your support is much appreciated.
Lismore GAA Lotto
This week's results. Numbers drawn were 1,5,7,22.  No Winner. Consolation prizes €20 each; Billy Ormonde, Katie Reddan, Nina Coughlan, Patsy Kearney.  Next week's jackpot will be €4400.
Tickets can be bought from all usual outlets priced at €2 each or three for €5.

Circuit Training at the Community Centre
Circuit training will resume on Wednesday October 2nd at the community centre courtesy of PP Fitness.  Time to set yourself a fitness goal and take the steps to achieving that goal by coming along to the classes. Suited to all fitness levels from beginner to advanced for both males and females and will challenge everyone in a positive and encouraging environment.  For more information, contact Paudie on 087 6770310Minor Hurling
