Lismore v Dungarvan Lismore 0-10 Fraher Fied Dungarvan 0-13 7pm Throw-in  Sargent Cup 2015 First round 27-03-2015 in Ballyduff Ballyduff 2-30 Lismore 2-09 Our senior hurlers first competitive game of 2015 came in the way of the Sargent Cup Final & Billy Cunningham Memorial Trophy which have been combined in the last couple of years as the Billy Cunningham trophy represents the league.
The opposition for this one was Mount Sion and they came to the Castle Farm Grounds on their first outing also,both teams exchanged the first couple of points until 10 minutes in and Maurice Shanahan gets the first goal of the game and Lismore led 1-3 to 0-2 both teams again exchanged some lovely scores and gave us a half time scoreline of Lismore 1-8 Mt.Sion 0-7. With only a couple of minutes on the clock Mt.Sion got a goal of thier own to bring them back in to it,but 8 minutes in a David Prendergast goal gave Lismore the upper hand again and 6 minutes later Maurice strikes again making it 3-12 to 1-10 then moments later "BigDan" hits the net,but straight from the puck out Mt.Sion get their second goal giving a scoreline of 4-12 to 2-10,with 10 minutes left Mt.Sion get the next point and proved to be their last with Lismore finishing strong getting 5 more points,final score Lismore 4-17 Mount Sion 2-11.
