U10 Hurling : Well done tomorrow u10's who won all their games to in Ballygiblin and went on to win the final also and Ben Cummins also picking up player of the tournament well done boys
U13 hurling – Western final was played on Saturday V Abbeyside. We got off to a great start with a couple of nice points and a cracking goal early on. The Abbeyside lads responded with a couple of scores themselves but we still in the lead at half time. The sides were levelled at about 5 min in and scores continued to be exchanged trough out the second half. Abbeyside were leading as the game approached full time and it took a really well taken point from ourselves to draw the teams. The sides went into extra time and Abbeyside took the lead getting a goal and some nice points. We tacked on a couple of points ourselves and with the last puck of the ball we broke their defences and scored a goal. However even with the goal, we were one point off the leaders and lost on the day by this narrow margin. Its really was a fantastic game and all credit to the lads for battling right up to the end. No doubt some lessons learned for next year.
Many thanks -  To Eddie Pollard Stone Mason for his kind sponsorship of a set of jerseys for U10/U11’s.

U10 Hurling  -. On Sat last our u10s travelled to st Marys in Clonmel to take part in their annual Frank Maher hurling tournament. In the group stages our lads drew with Cahir in the first game and beat Clonea Power and St Marys in the second and third games. Our lads had a high scoring average and this qualified them for the semi final of div A. In the semi final they took on Fermoy and after a titanic battle came out on top by two points to earn a place in the final. In the final they met Clarinbridge of Galway and this turned out to be another cracker but in the end our boys were beaten by the boys from the West by three points. Like Sunday in Croke Park with a small bit of luck we could have came out on top but fair play to all involved to get to the final of this high class tournament. Many thanks to St Marys for invite.
U11 Hurling - Our u11s played The Brickeys away last week in the town and country league and were narrowly beaten.

U13 hurling – The boys played St Pats in the championship semi-final in Cappoquinn last week. It was an exciting game and both teams played some good hurling. We were delighted to win this game and are looking to the Final.
U14 Hurling – The buys played Tallow last week in a tough game which didn’t go our way.
U16 Hurling – The boys played Dungarvan last week and in an impressive display we racked up a good score to win.
Pat Mantayne : The Club will host this U12 Hurling Tournament on Saturday Sept 9th. Throw in is at 10am and for anyone with an interest in Youth hurling, this is an opportunity to see some good entertaining matches.
Speedy recovery to Tomas Nugent and Shane Barry who both picked up an injury last week.

Hard luck to the Waterford team especially Dan, Maurice, Shane, Kieran and Stephen in Sundays All Ireland. Looking forward to next year.

U10 Football – The U10s played Fermoy at home in a challenge game last Tuesday night, this was a great game of hurling and very beneficial to both sides. Many thanks to Fermoy for travelling down.
u11 Football – The  u11s played Affane in the town and country football league at home last Thursday night and had a nice win.
U14 Hurling – These lads played two games this week. The first against Clonea produced some of the best hurling from these lads so far this year, and although they kept hurling up till the end they just came up short on the night. The Second match was against Clan Na Geal, this was a physical, strong team but the lads continued to hurl well and were deserving winners on the night.
U16s Hurling . The U16s played Sacred Hart away in the championship and came away with a comprehensive win.

Congratulations : Well done to Joseph O Keefe, the U12 mixed 4 hand dancers were crowned ALL IRELAND CHAMPIONS  Fleadh 2017 last week end.

U6 Hurling – This great bunch of hurlers put on an outstanding display of hurling in the recent Tournment in Cappoquinn. Seeing off all completion the won their games and won the cup. Many thanks to Cappoquinn.
U12s Football – This team kicked off the start of their town and county with two games last week. The first against the Ballymacarby and the second against Youghal. Neither game went our way but the boys on the field couldn’t have done more battling right up to the very end.
U13 Hurling – The lads played FourMileWater away last week. We got off to a great start but allowed them to chip away throughout the rest of the game and we finished off second best. Despite some results not going our way we are into the semi-finals of this competition. This team also played St. Marys in a challenge on Saturday morning. Thanks to St Mary’s for the game.

U16s Hurling . The lads played away to Portlaw on Wednesday night and at home to Clonea on Friday night in championship.  They won both games and the lads are hurling really well with great individual and team performances.
