U10S
Lismore U10s played the Brickeys in Bushy Park last Mon night in what was a very close game. Our lads played really well on the night. U9S Our U9s travelled to Killeagh on Sunday and took part in a tournament against Killeagh, Carrigtwohill & Youghal. We did well in all matches in what was a very enjoyable morning's hurling. Thanks to Killeagh for the invite. U11s The U11 team travelled to Abbeyside on Wed evening last and played Abbeyside in a very competitive challenge game. Thanks to Abbeyside for the game. U14S Our U14s played Dungarvan at home last Monday night in the quarter final of the County Championship. From previous history we knew this was going to be a close encounter and that is the way it turned out to be. From the start it was nip and tuck all the way but in the end Dungarvan ran out winners by two points. Well done to all the U14 panel for the effort they put in all year and we will never forget their win in the Feile Na Gael. Many thanks to Aidan Ormonde & Paul Quinn for the huge amount of time and effort they put in all year with this age group. U15S Our U15s played De La Salle in the Div. 2 County Final in Fraher Field on Sun last. PLaying against a very strong De La Salle side our lads got a great start but soon came under alot of pressure. Our lads battled right to the end but unfortunately on this occassion De La Salle were too strong and were deserving winners in the end. Well done to them. Thanks to all panel members & to Aidan & Paul for their great work put in with this age group. U16S U16S travelled to Ballyduff Lower last Thursday night and took on Portlaw in the group play off. From the start the lads took the game to their opponents and worked hard throughout. In the end we were deserving winners on a scoreline of 3-17 to 2-07. SPONSORSHIP Many thanks to Anthony & Nora Kelleher and to Michael & Patricia Morrissey who sponsored our U15 Co. Finalists for Sunday's match. Through their kindness and generosity all panel members were treated to a meal in Lismore House Hotel on Sunday after the game

U10S
Naomh Chartaigh U10s played Fourmilewater away in the Town & Country League last Monday night and played really well in a very competitive game. U13S Our U13s took on An Gaeltacht in the Div 2 Western final in Fraher Field last Sat morning. After a slow start our lads were well behind at half time. In the second half our lads came out with more purpose and played really well but in the end the half time lead that An Gaeltacht had built up was the difference and they ran out deserving winners on the day. Well done to An Gaeltacht and also to our lads for reaching the final. U15S Our U15s played An Gaeltacht in the Div 2 Western Final last Mon night in Fraher Field. In the first half our lads played super hurling and built up a commanding lead. An Gaeltacht came back at us in the second half but we dug in and ran out winners on a scoreline of 3 09 to 2 07. Afterwards our Captain Oisin O Gorman received the winning plaque. County Final is fixed for Sunday 18th Sept in Walsh Park. U16S We took on An Gaeltacht in the U16 Championship at home last Fri evening. This was our first game with almost a full panel and our lads played really well from start to finish in what was a very tough, competitive game to run out winners on a score that read 2 16 to 1 13. Well done to all involved. BEST WISHES Best wishes to Dylan Feeney who is out of action for a few weeks after breaking his ankle last Mon night in the U15 match. |
